The Royal College of General Practice Awards in 2022, awarded Shifa Surgery Research Practice of the Year after beating stiff competition from practices nominated from all over the country.

Sumayya Mayat was also named Practice Manager of the year at the PMA Awards 2023, who is seen holding her award below. The PMA Awards celebrate excellence in management across all areas of the healthcare sector.

Dr Tanveer Ahmed was also shortlisted for the Lifetime Achievement award and Ms Eve Frost was a finalist in the Outstanding Contribution to General Practice awards.

The surgery was also shortlisted for the Organisational Agility Award at the Institute of Leadership Awards 2023, and two further honours for General Practice Awards – the GP Trainee of the Year and General Practice Team of the year. A fantastic achievement from the whole team at Shifa Surgery, well done!
